Seth Quintero and Red Bull Juniors Team Up with Can-Am ahead of Dakar 2023

December 16, 2022

Anticipation for the upcoming 2023 Dakar Rally has rocketed following the newly announced collaboration between the Red Bull Off-Road Junior Team and Can-Am. The six-member team of elite drivers have set their sights on victory and are ready to take on the world’s roughest race in January. Not only will the new team be competing with all-new Can-Am machinery, but they will be developing a hybrid prototype vehicle in conjunction with industry-leading company, MCE5. To facilitate such an innovative and ambitious project the squad has been divided into two groups – Red Bull Off-Road Junior Team USA presented by BFGoodrich and Red Bull Can-Am Factory Team.

The Red Bull Off-Road Junior Team USA presented by BFGoodrich features an all-star lineup of young talent which have made considerable waves in the desert racing spectrum. KMC athlete, Seth Quintero and co-driver Dennis Zenz will return following a record-setting showcase at the 2022 Dakar. Quintero and Zenz displayed veteran-like resolve and world-class racing prowess last year—holding the record for the youngest-ever stage winner and most stage wins (11) at a single edition of the rally. The FIA World Rally-Raid Championship T3 runner-up now has his sights set on becoming the Dakar’s youngest overall winner in 2023.

“This year we’ve made a very big change, but I don’t think my driving style or mindset is going to change at all. We have a really good shot at winning Dakar this year.” – Seth Quintero

Since its inception three years ago, the Red Bull Off-Road Junior Team project has now expanded to bring a record six drivers to the Dakar for the first time and this time out can start counting on the support of world-renowned manufacturer Can-Am BRP Group. The underlying principles of the Junior Team remain unchanged: supporting the next generation of off-road talent, growing the global footprint of the team and driving towards a sustainable future for motorsport.
